Pros
- Everyone works remotely, but it doesn't feel isolating at all. Communication is strong throughout the company. We all use Asana, Slack, Zoom, and Donut to track progress on projects and stay connected in different ways.
- The founders really live the values and are extremely receptive of feedback. I've worked for other startups where this isn't the case and it tends to create a toxic environment. The leadership team realizes that the culture and values start with them, which really shows in the way everyone works together.
- The work is fun and engaging. Like any startup, you wear multiple hats, so you get to work on a breadth of things while also focusing on your area of expertise.
- Offsites with the entire company every 9 months.
Cons
- Everyone works remotely. :) This can be a challenge for some people and a perk for others. There is a lot of work to be done, so it's great for people that want to spend more time at home. However, it's not the right place for those interested in traveling and working remotely. Given that we're still such a small team (almost 20 employees total), the demands are higher than a larger company and it's important to be flexible and available when needed.
- Startups aren't for everyone. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where your impact is truly felt throughout the company, this is a great company to be a part of!
