Pros

Teach you how to sell anything to anyone

Cons

No respect to employees and even partners, long working hours, every move is watched, no place for the initiative, treat you like slaves/nothing and expect this to motivate you. They do everything possible to prevent employees from communicating with each other even after hours. They are afraid and nothing good comes from fear, as you know.

Pros

I made one nice friend there.

Cons

To be fair this is a few years late, but this company was so laughably awful that I decided out of curiosity to see what they were up to now and found this page. They manage to make the job simultaneously extremely boring and extremely stressful. One or the other would be ok, fast paced, making deals, negotiating, making targets and deadlines- I like. Unexciting repetitive tasks when necessary- no problem. This felt like hours and hours and day after day of bashing your head against a wall while someone yells at you that you're not bashing it hard enough. You needed to be in at 8am to start the head bashing, and when you get home at 9pm, to spend another couple of hours doing it at home. No one seemed to be making as much commission as they should, and the owner is rolling in money while others are making crappy wages for London standards, perhaps getting occasional, totally unreliable, and meager commission. They made me feel like anything that didn't come off was my fault for not hammering the phones or the poor people on the other end of the phone hard enough. I moved on elsewhere as soon as I possibly could, and the comparisons with other workplaces since make this place seem even worse. I've never known anywhere that had a worse combination of bad pay and a bad culture. On top of all this, as others have alluded to, there is no end to the number of illegal practices. Not just fake companies and fake identities, but regularly impersonating the Department of Health to try and dig up information on people.
