Individual sites are previously privately-owned practices serving the Chinese immigrant community. Therefore, it comes with culture shock and practices not commonly seen in Western healthcare and medicine. Malignant comments from employees who are not aware of the APP role and scope of practice. Malignant comments from extremely health-illiterate patients who are not used to western-educated providers. Lots of stress on metrics to bring up individual revenue. Work-life balance does not exist because most of these sites are open 7 days a week.
