Working at Relay is horrible, I feel they hire people with disabilities because they push them around and get away with unethical work practices. My time at Relay was horrible, the maintenance dept is always short handed, the techs that are there have 0 skill or knowledge in housing repair and maintenance, I have personally seen them cover up huge amounts of Black Spore Mold in their apartment's, Holes in the bathroom ceiling, no working bathroom sink etc, I was not ever allowed to fix these major health and building code violations. Because I have a brain and have been in this field for 30 years, I was cut down at every coroner, they only want brainless employees to push around, I asked questions, they do not like that, they give you no means to get materials, and requests for said materials take months! Working in their properties put my health at risk! Noting in their mission statement is true, they will disrespect you, degrade you and find any way possible to fire you if you do not act like a brainless puppet! I was suspended twice for false complaints filed against me by a property manager because she had to walk 100 ft to her unit. When I was not fired for that she then took and had tenants makes false claims as well, this back fired in her face, Relay let this manager retaliate against me because of her own agenda, I was not allowed to see any evidence against me what so ever, I was told I do not need to see it. In the last complaint filed the description given was of a co-worker how was far too close to the manager. 2 weeks after the false complaint and the manger was fired my tools where stolen out of their work truck, on there property, I called everyone I needed to, they did not investigate the theft where it happened until 7 days later, that is a company policy violation in fleet manual. They then proceed to fire for media violation, (talking to my wife) as they could find no other grounds, during this time the remaining tools where stolen from the truck in their lot! value was over 10,000.00 of tools, they have yet to pay the $700.00 they say is what tools cost for the techs duties. So wrong, I filed 2 police reports and they refuse to respond to law enforcement. There is no doubt the tools where stolen by employees booth times, as retaliation for the manager being fired. If I where you I would steer clear of this abusive and unethical company, They also violated BOLI regs for final pay, making me wait 4 days, when in the term letter it stated I was paid on that day! they fired me over the phone because they are gutless and tactless, unprofessional.
