Pros

Good work/life balance, don’t have people breathing down your neck all day

Cons

Too many. They don’t reimburse you for your miles and you end up putting tons of miles on your car and spending tons on gas. Absolutely zero work culture. This has completely disappeared in the last 6ish years. Absolutely zero opportunity for advancement. It would be like pulling teeth to try and get any sort of raise after being one of the best reps they’ve had in their history. The VP is an amazing guy who genuinely cares. The people above him are nonexistent robots who I’ve only met one of, and it was a handful of times. No holiday parties, no events, nothing. It’s a dying business. I make less than half of what I did years ago and the dealerships are just getting less and less volume. If it rains, you’re screwed. At the absolute most, you’ll make about $80k but that’s near impossible to do. It’s a good job to get your money up somewhat quickly if you bust your butt to do so, but this job won’t get you into any higher up role in the company. Ever. I would steer clear

Pros

Relatively Consistent work Simple Objective, and superiors worked with the adjustments going on in my life.

Cons

Working with elements (weather) can effect performance. Rely on own transportation. Dealership managers can be a hassle sometimes (not a big deal 90% of the time)

Pros

Able to work and earn on your terms without direct supervision. Each week can be tailored to however your schedule can accommodate. There are seasons where the earning potential is very high.

Cons

Commission based cons are always looming. Can’t necessarily guarantee how great a week may be without asking for extra work. Lots of driving and isolation.
