Pros
I agree with the sentiment of many other reviews here. The caliber and spirit of its employees were the best thing Redesign had going for it.
Cons
But over the last couple years, leadership has eroded the culture and corrupted the mission of what we profess we are trying to do. Recurring layoffs (sorry, the 'market is bad' pass is only valid once or maybe twice before it's a 'you' problem), manic strategy changes before it's possible to tell if they're working, and of late questionable investor profiles... it all reeks of desperation, reactivity, and a sole financial imperative. I get it. Businesses have a bottom line. But it's entirely possible to maintain and promote humanity in the course of managing that bottom line. Redesign Health has become just one more scrabbling profiteer contributing to bloat and distraction within our healthcare system. I haven't heard the word 'patient' used internally in articulating the goal of healthcare innovation in a long time.
