Pros

• Talented coworkers who genuinely care about clients and each other. • Opportunity to learn by being thrown into new situations and figuring things out. • decent brand reputation and projects that initially make the role feel full of potential

Cons

• Compensation structure is inequitable and demotivating. Sales quotas are unrealistic (set at double what leadership admits is actually achievable), pay structures aren’t transparent. • Maternity/adoption leave policies are inconsistent and unfair. Employees who give birth receive short-term disability benefits, while those who adopt are denied the same support. • Leadership shows favoritism — certain employees receive flexibility and perks (remote work, higher commissions, extended training), while others are denied the same. • Training is almost non-existent; most people are expected to self-teach for months before becoming productive. • Career development is limited, and leadership often brings in outside “dream hires” rather than investing in existing employees.

Red Pepper Software Response

We appreciate the feedback and want to address a few points for clarity. Compensation & Quotas: Our sales quotas are carefully set and consistently met by team members. They are intended to challenge and reward performance. We regularly review compensation to remain competitive, and promotions and pay increases are based on merit, not gender. We are proud that many women in our company, including our President, hold senior roles and are compensated accordingly for their contributions. Parental Benefits: We understand how important family support is. Our short-term disability benefits are managed by our insurance carrier, and unfortunately adoption is not currently covered by that policy. That said, we provide consistent benefits across all employees and continue to explore ways to improve our offerings. Training & Development: Contrary to this review, training is a priority. We provide extensive training on Qualtrics, as well as regular sales coaching led by our strategic growth manager. Additionally, a majority of our employees are on clear growth paths — a strong achievement for a company of our size. Culture & Flexibility: Red Pepper Software is committed to fairness. While some roles are structured differently, expectations (such as remote or in-office requirements) are clearly communicated in offer letters, the employee handbook, and employment contracts. Many of our employees also enjoy balanced workweeks averaging 40 hours. While we regret that this individual’s experience didn’t align with our culture, we remain dedicated to transparency, career development, and ensuring Red Pepper Software continues to be a place where employees can thrive.

Pros

Great environment. Very friendly people. Company lunches and educational opportunities. Great career expansion opportunities. Friendly to internships. Monthly health challenge with prizes. Lots of diversity of projects as a software developer. Hard to get super bored. Great if you like using bleeding edge technologies, data analytics software, building production systems with latest AI models and techniques, and occasionally porting some ancient code to a modern system.

Cons

The location has a lot of traffic sometimes. Rush hour gets crazy. HVAC system goes crazy sometimes but we have small fans and/or heaters.

Pros

Red Pepper is easily one of the best places I’ve worked. The execs genuinely care about the people and the business, and that really shows in the culture. Everyone has a voice and a chance to make an impact. Being a smaller company means you can actually see how your work helps the business grow. The team is full of talented people who are great at what they do. It’s fun being part of a company known for delivering strong results—for Qualtrics and for our end clients.

Cons

I don't see it as a con (in fact, I think it contributes to the comradery and efficiency with which we serve our customers) - but others should know Red Pepper isn't a hybrid work environment.
