COVID-19:
Chaotic management of the pandemic, which I recognize this is completely unprecedented, however, communication on updated guidelines come in extremely last minute. Nothing has been done in order to help employees be more successful at home. (We were sent home with our laptops and set of headphones, had to scramble to take home any other tech, which was extremely limited) Threatened with being forced to go back into the office if executive management deems you "not productive enough", confirmed COVID cases & exposure of employees not communicated to the rest of the office.
BLM & Systemic Racism:
Extremely disheartened as RP has yet to do anything other than an incredibly brief statement that eluded to some videos we can watch if we want to. This statement included a video from Taiwan Brown, the VP of Inclusion & Community, which I appreciated, so absolutely no fault to her. However, it was accompanied by a half-hearted, 2 sentence statement from the CEO which was performative at best. That’s it.
No real actions taken, statement was STRESSED to be kept internal and confidential. Nothing said publically. Poor performative activism at best.
PRIDE:
RealPage is pushing a PRIDE initiative internally, which I think is amazing and 100% support. However, on the panel discussion they recently had that included people across other companies, including AT&T and Buildium, even the smallest things other companies mentioned they were doing in order to help make their workplaces more inclusive to the LGBTQ+ community, have not even been attempted by RealPage.
Additionally, it feels hypocritical for them to stand up for the rights and inclusion of the LGBTQ+ community after such a dismissive stance and effort for the Black community.
