Pros
This is a company that's on a mission to change peoples lives in a really positive way. With that being the case, you definitely get a sense of fulfillment knowing that you play a role in helping people to lead healthier lifestyles each day. Everyone that I worked with or came in contact with is super friendly and more than willing to help when needed. The management style is pretty laid back which can be a good and bad thing depending on the situation. You can count on having a set schedule with no weekends required. What's more, flex scheduling is offered to accommodate appointments and other obligations you may have. Did I mention, the majority of the positions are work from home/remote? This is definitely a neat perk!
Cons
Well, it's a new company and with that comes a lot of kinks that need to be worked out. I had really high hopes for the role I took on and after 6 mos the enthusiasm came to a screeching halt. In comparison with other companies I've worked with the training was subpar and ineffective. It never seemed like anyone was on the same page where that was concerned, so there was a lot of confusion and countless re-trainings that had to be done. This, of course, took place after myself and several other colleagues were placed on PIPS. Another issue I had was the lack of communication between leadership/management. One person will praise you for doing well and the other would come back and say otherwise, so it was hard to truly know where you stood performance wise. Might I say, this back and forth went on for quite a bit! Policies were also poorly communicated. In my experience things like attendance policy, vacation policy, etc. are usually discussed or gone over in a well put together orientation. This is to ensure both the employee and employer are on the same page. But this was never done and it created a host of issues.
