This company failed to properly comply with the Warn Act for mass layoffs. A month prior an email was sent out (by the interim ceo) to all employees saying not to worry about layoffs and lack of work when the company outing was canceled. Then the company blindsided many of us with layoffs right before the holidays. Many of my peers I worked with were also terminated for very mundane reasons and without any verbal warnings. So much for employee ownership or being B-corp, at the end of the day, you’re just a statistic and can be thrown away regardless of how progressive the company is or was.
