Pros

Your coworkers can be great and if you like talking to people this is a good job for you

Cons

No management, highly suspect owner disappearing for along time with very false promises being offered to employees. Do not take this job if you have any other choice and if you do take it then continue your job search, this company has all of the markings of a failing company you are nothing but a number to them and you will be removed as soon as you go through a rough patch

ReNew Home Designs Response

As the owner of the company, I wanted to take the time to reply to this personally rather than let our Hiring Manager. I take one vacation per year over the Winter Holiday and was in communication with my team morning, noon and night every day of that vacation. Anyone saying that any member of our team is unavailable is complete nonsense. With that said, our team is highly talented and motivated. We all work together (Even I, the owner, go out into the field with the team regularly) in a fast paced and competitive industry. We, like any performance based company, cannot keep members on the team that cannot perform. This is not the right fit for everyone, but our quotas are very low. In addition, we provide many, many resources for anyone who wants additional coaching or mentoring. If even after all of the resources we have to take advantage of, someone still cannot make it, we don't think it's anyones fault, but it's definitely not the right fit. Best of luck on your next opportunity.

Pros

The don't charge for the shirts you have to wear. Given the day off for bad weather or if cold. Sales training. Commission

Cons

Most of your co-workers are door to door sales people. 10/hr an hour to be outside knocking on doors while yes you make commission making sales on roofs when its dark is near impossible. Make sure you turn in EVERYTHING when you quit, they have been know to charge insane fees for a 2 dollar clip board. The "managers" drive a crew out to a housing development. One of these guys would smoke a cig, talk on his phone, and read a map AT THE TIME. With me in the back. I'd never be so careless with other people in my car with loved ones, at once a day he'd almost wreck. Oh yeah, no benefits. Even worse they get out of even paying comp to call you an "independent contractor" So when it rains you won't get a dime, or if you get hurt by a careless manager. Crews would quit early and park just far enough from the office so the boss thinks we are working.
