Pros

There are none to speak off.

Cons

I would steer anyone away from this company whether its employment or to hire this company. The owner is a person of no character, no emotion or concern for anybody but himself. This man has completely destroyed my family and I lives. Relocated us from Lenexa, Kansas. Didn't Like my style of managing my work because I interact with my crew's all the time and make site visits when appropriate. He felt that a PM should be able to manage his work from his desk, not to visit site and coordinate with his crews. This man decided to cut me lose after moving my family 2000 miles away from our families. He also decided to not pay the $12,412.39 bill to the moving company as well. Especially knowing damn well that I do not have that kind of money just lying around. This man has lied to me about so many things its unfathomable to even conceive. I am now stuck here with no job, a family of 5, a mother-in-law and soon to have no place to live and about to lose all of our belongings. If you look up Razz Construction you will find additional articles about his extremely high turn over rate in the last 5 years. He has been through 23 Project Managers + myself which now makes 24 in those 5 years. Thanks to Donald Rasmussen the owner, the snake in the grass and the devil himself. I hope his time in hell will be the worst imaginable because there is no God that is going to save this man.

Pros

Compensation was consistent with industry. Some diversity in scope.

Cons

The owner of Razz has a reputation for being dishonest and cheating his way through projects. This is known throughout the NW region among public works owners, other contractors, and private companies. According to longer-term admin staff, the owner of Razz has hired and lost close to 20 project estimators and project managers in the previous 5 years. While at this company, I was asked on at least 4 separate occasions to do things considered illegal. When discussing with the owner a concern for legality, he would justify that only he was legally responsible, and would not consider the reputation of anyone involved. The owner also employs several of his relatives as craft personnel. One of which, his brother, he has knowledge of coming in to work intoxicated, but he does nothing about it. Current project managers with the company actively minimize the owner's role in projects, to minimize problems and avoid lack-integrity direction. During my job interview, we had basically discussed everything in agreeable terms to the extent I was being offered the job, and I was leaning toward accepting. At that time, it was explained to me that the salary was a 50 hr/wk base salary. In hind-sight, 50 hr/wk minimum schedule does not allow much work/life balance. The company I am with now pays more with better benefits, and I am on 40 hr/wk schedule.
