Micromanagement at it’s finest - Receptionist Rapport (London) Employee Review

Pros

Pay is the only one, the client paid well

Cons

I worked as a receptionist with Rapport Guest Services and while the pay was good, that’s where the positives ended. The management was extremely controlling and constantly micromanaged every single aspect of the job. Instead of offering constructive feedback or clear guidance, they criticised everything, no matter how small and never once communicated what they actually wanted improved. I had no chance to improve. The environment was fake and tense. The client placed heavy pressure on management, and in turn, they took it out on the team. You were expected to be perfect at all times and nothing you did was ever good enough. The constant nitpicking and lack of support made the job exhausting and damaging to my confidence. To anyone considering applying, think twice, unless you want to work under micromanagers who will drain you and make you feel like you can never measure up. Would not recommend.

Pros

Job is easy. I liked my planning team. Working at Capital One Campus was amazing

Cons

Constant HR problems. Leadership was always hesitant to act against our hostile work environment. Complaints were not taken seriously. Terrible time off, no flexibility on work from home days. Coworkers would come in sick because we had no option to WFH. Constant policy changes - started out as Hybrid for 2 days a week, every year they added on more days without changing our pay.
