Pros
Leaving at end of shift
Cons
Compound like atmosphere where vandalism and stolen vehicles have occurred. They employ armed guards whom are on site during the busier hours. Every exit and entrance can only be accessed by employee badge. Including the usage of the bathrooms. You must request a pass to use the restrooms and doors only open on badge scan. Under constant pressure to work faster as they acquire new businesses without the proper staffing, due to consistent high turnover rate. Many finish training and then immediately quit. Others last only a few weeks. In an attempt to draw in the younger crowd entering the workforce they have “allowed” a more relaxed dress code. Per-missing long tattoos and face piercings to be prominently displayed. In the past a much stricter dress code was enforced which made the place at least feel more the “professional” office like atmosphere . To look around now one wonders at times if they have fallen down some Alice in wonderland hole. Which is surprising as optics are everything. Multiple e-mail’s received regarding keeping the building clean. They want you to change your shoes but don’t store anything in the locker room for fear it looks like it is being used for its purpose. Constant micromanaging and paranoia inducing “check ins”. Such as the practice of a supervisor calling into your phone claiming they are “testing the lines”. For what purpose? We are using modern day equipment and not paper cups tied with string so there shouldn’t be an issue with the phone lines. All your breaks including your lunch are scheduled for you. As fore-mentioned even bodily functions must not be impromptu. Your every second from the time you clock in is being monitored and accounted for. They prefer the younger generation over the more older/ seasoned employee. Then the older workers get exploited when that sector of the workforce habitually call out. They have untrained individuals operating as supervisors and trainers and wonder why no one can actually learn the new policy and procedures. (Which change on a whim) or why they can’t maintain proper staffing requirements. Stay as far away from this mind numbing and mentally exhausting establishment.
