Pros
Tech stack is good, you can learn so much if you want to. Can be good for your future endeavors. Middle management is awesome, and genuinely try to do best under the circumstances. Each position stay open for up to 1 year as no one want's to work and they can't find people to join. If you have no other choice, definitely ask for above average market pay rate.
Cons
- Upper management is the worst of my career ( 15+ years ). There is no leadership and will throw you under the bus, at a moment's notice. - Everyone is so tense here, so common to have people having shouting match within meetings because leadership decided to give authority to another group last week/month. - Will have to wear multiple hats as always understaffed. You are expected to be QA, on support person, product and more.... - You can be called after hours and you are expected to pick up even on vacation. - Very common to not have a raise after you join. 75% of the team is frustrated by their career path, and not sure what needs to be done to get to next level. - Most people feel entrapped for one or the other reason. ( Sponsorship situation / how long they have worked & easier to just stay and deal with it ) - The way system is setup, if one person excels and get an above average raise, another person has to be docked and will get lower raise as it comes out of a pre-set pool. - With previous point in mind, way to grow is by bringing others down and extra shine your work.
