Pros
If they care about their employees it has potential to be a good university.
Cons
Approach the negotiation process with clarity and confidence. Know your worth and advocate for the salary you expect—do not rely on verbal assurances, as the organization typically has the budget to meet reasonable compensation requests. It is strongly recommended that you get all commitments in writing. Based on my experience, the HR representative was not forthcoming and often made promises that were not honored. Relying on verbal agreements may lead to disappointment, so ensure that all terms—especially around compensation and role expectations—are clearly documented. Speaking with current employees can provide valuable insights into what you should realistically expect in terms of salary, raises, and workload. Also note that the role is primarily administrative in nature and can be quite intensive. Proceed with caution and make sure everything is transparent before accepting an offer.
