Cons
They will ask you to sign a non-compete. There is no training program to speak of and no support. You will be handed work and be expected to complete it. If you ask any questions regarding proprietary software or pipeline you will be seen as clueless. They will not trust you with any work after that. Management from top to bottom are completely incompetent. They are dishonest and will flat out lie when directly asked a question. They will not deal with conflict or get involved unless it directly affects the bottom line of the company. When they do get involved they take no time to understand the underlying issues and will apply band-aid fixes to the symptoms. They then conclude they have done a fantastic job and that all issues company-wide are fixed. There is no follow-up to check the effectiveness of their "fixes". There is a massive disconnect between what management thinks the employees do and what they actually do all day. I have heard the phrase "button monkey" thrown around more than once by management in an absolutely serious fashion. Reviews process and compensation are subjective and obscure. There is no transparency with regard to who makes the decisions. Compensation discussion beforehand is non existent, they just hand you a piece of paper with your final numbers on it. You don't like the number? That's fine. Just leave. Their view is you are expendable anyway. Culture is non-existent and not viewed as important by management.
