Nice coworkers and members, paid holidays, set lunch times.

Pay, culture, fussy members, and weird out dated policies.

It is very slow there. It is a small, local credit union so any big corporate pressure just does not exist there. A good job if you are trying to break into the industry with a smooth transition.

A stale environment. Encouraged to read boring and outdated procedures during the hours of consistent downtime. Low chance of promotion and professional development but they will try to give you more work for the same pay. Any training after the initial training is hollow and you are expected to jump into situations you know nothing about or are uncomfortable with in order to learn. Management is “hands off” but really just turns a blind eye until they feel like doing something. Very easy to not be treated like a person here between the people you work with and the members you serve.
