Pros

Free beer and domino's every once in a while.

Cons

When you first start, the treats and small praise you get may make you want to stay, but after a few months the rotten core that is RockIT will begin to show. You will be worked to the bone with almost zero promise of progression. All work is entirely stat based, if you hit your targets but the quality of your work is poor, that's okay in their eyes. Compared to many other managed service roles, you'll be doing 5x the tickets with 10x's the stress. As long as you have helped battle the never-ending queue of tickets due to CONSTANTLY being understaffed and under-trained (there is no official training given by the way, however this has been promised from my knowledge for at least the last 3 years, Good luck with that!) P.S the mention of certifications with Microsoft or any other partner is an absolute fabrication. Middle management are all untrained and are more people that try to be your mates, rather than actually help you progress in the business. There is a huge focus on putting on a front for social media, you'll notice that Managed Service are hardly ever given a mention. Whilst working for Rock for around 14-15 months, i had only 2 sick days in a 1 week period to which i was told i would be put on sickness monitoring if i was to take 1 more day that year. RockIT doesn't care about you, just what you can do and how quickly you can churn tickets out. Your personality and beliefs mean nothing when they have way too little staff to the amount of clients they support. I was disciplined multiple times for asking questions about the way our support team works and functions, merely trying to get answers to questions that everybody would ask on a frequent basis. If you work for Managed Service in this business, don't expect any respect unless you're absolutely top of the table. There is also no health-care, and when asking for the DSE eye test, i never got a reply so had to pay for it myself with no reimbursement.

Pros

- The company genuinely champions growth. If you’re someone who wants to learn fast, take ownership, and make a visible impact, this is the best environment for it. - Leadership encourages people to improve things, not just maintain them. You’re trusted to rethink processes, build new ways of working, and take on projects that directly influence how the business operates. - The variety of work is incredible. It’s a rare place where you can build a broad skillset quickly. - There’s a strong culture of collaboration. Teams are open to feedback and willing to jump in to help solve problems, even when it falls outside their usual remit. - The company is investing heavily in tools, reporting, and process automation. It’s exciting to be part of a business that’s modernising and taking efficiency seriously. - You feel your contributions matter. When you fix something, improve something, or build something, it’s noticed and appreciated.

Cons

- It’s a fast-paced environment, so you need to be adaptable when priorities shift. It’s not a “coast through the day” kind of place. - Some processes are still being upgraded or rebuilt due to growth, which means you have to be comfortable working things out as you go.
