Pros

Near Go trains at Union station.

Cons

Overworked and under appreciated. Long hours 60+ per week. Management willing to squeeze everything they can out of their employees and toss them aside when no longer needed. High turnover. Low morale.

Pros

Decent compensation compared to some competitors Exposure to a high-volume underwriting environment (if you can tolerate the stress)

Cons

The culture is toxic. Hard work and dedication are not recognized or appreciated; instead, employees are made to feel small and incompetent. Collaboration across departments is non-existent. Sales staff treat underwriters like order-takers, frequently escalating issues without discussion and siding with brokers regardless of the circumstances.no clear career growth path unless you engage in office gossip or align yourself with management’s inner circle. Leadership is disconnected, dismissive, and fosters a fear-based environment. Overwork with no appreciation Poor leadership and zero collaboration No real career development or growth Constant micromanagement and unfair evaluations
