Pros

I'll try to summarize what are the strongest traits of the company: - Qustodio is, above all, a company where employees are heard and taken into account. Employees have several different channels to communicate their concerns, and to send suggestions for improvement. - Every year we perform a personal review with every team member, in which all parties agree on setting aspirational goals and review their progress on the technical, professional, salary and company role sides. We perform a mid-year review to follow-up. - We make periodic 1:1s to understand what is the mood, and review people's needs and feedback. Everything is shared under the umbrella of a safe confidential environment, and the outcome from these meetings is discussed and handled immediately. - The technical team is given enough empowerment to be the real owner of the product's new developments. What we want to do is to solve our customers' problems, and everybody has a voice to contribute with ideas and experiments. - Teams are autonomous and technical knowledge is shared periodically across them. Teams are stirred to be self-managed. - People is offered the possibility of trying new technologies and thus expand their technical skills. - Qustodio encourages their people to have technical debates --there are scheduled meetings for each technical chapter and Friday meetings on demand. Team members can share their suggestions about training, methods and team dynamics openly. - There is a flexible policy for people's working hours. Working from home policy was totally adopted by the company long before the COVID situation.

Cons

Qustodio, like any other company out there, has a lot of areas to improve. Please, be open and provide feedback --it will be heard.

Pros

Lunch is free, some employees are nice to talk to

Cons

I would not recommend working for this company, especially in the Barcelona office. The work environment is very exclusionary: people go out of their way not to involve you, offer support, or create any sense of teamwork. The overall culture feels cliquish, and leadership seems to care only about themselves and their close relationships rather than the well-being of employees. Micromanagement is really common with one leader yet there’s almost no constructive feedback or development support. Communication is poor, and there’s little effort made to include non-native speakers in conversations, even when it’s clear you don’t understand what’s being said and you have voiced concerns with your team multiple times. Finally, team bonding simply doesn’t exist. When these issues were brought to management they were dismissed and I was told I needed to make more of an effort even though I was the only one making effort to blend in my team. I often felt dismissed and interrupted during meetings, and suggestions or ideas were regularly shut down with condescending responses. There’s a lack of transparency around processes, and leadership mistakes are often met with silence or blame rather than guidance. While onboarding I was left alone for 2 weeks and no training was provided so I had to teach myself everything. There are also no bonuses, no pension plan, and a general lack of appreciation for hard work. Overall, the environment feels toxic, isolating, and poorly managed, with no real opportunities for growth or collaboration. I would not recommend working here especially due to the management and lack of basic people skills/manners.

Pros

Qustodio is a great company to work at for many obvious reasons. The company's culture is outstanding, being derived from it's mission to provide a healthy and safe digital environment for children to thrive in. The day-to-day work and projects we are involved in are not only interesting but contribute to the greater good of humanity. Upper-level management communicates clearly what are the companies goals and progress towards it. Qustodio ensures that it employs people who are friendly and helpful at all times. The company rewards its employees adequately, not only at a salary level, but through company wide initiatives and personal benefits that cover many different aspects of one's needs.

Cons

Not exactly a disadvantage, but even though the company is fully remote it still requires its employees to be based in Spain
