Pros
As you all know, the game of trading is perhaps the most rigorous and challenging career. As you learn how to trade you literally pay money every month to have the opportunity to consistently lose money every month, until you learn enough and develop the patience and discipline to become consistently profitable. During this period of time two things are most important:
1. Find and recruit great mentors, especially those that fit your trading style!
2. Minimize all costs and fees associated with trading – slow your burn rate!
If you break either of these rules – you are setting yourself up to fail.
Trading with several prop firms caused me to develop a skepticism of their survivability. I came to wonder how any beginner trader could endure the time required to become consistently profitable by operating in such a high burn rate environment. Many firms are attractive from the outside until they lock you in and drown you in fees.
I decided to join Quasar as I heard their culture is one that truly supports the success of their traders. Immediately I realized that this firm has true leaders. The transition was very smooth and they were very responsive. Quasar invests in their traders and provides them with a favorable situation that is crucial for any trader, especially in the beginning of their career. Fees are very low and they take pride minimizing overhead for their traders to allow them the time required to become consistently profitable.
Cons
I haven't experienced anything negative at Quasar.
