Pros
Although fewer and fewer with each passing quarter, some talented people still remain. A few of the long time employees are trying to keep the company moving forward but many others are just mailing it in. New ESOP plan created, but the key details of plan, valuation and distribution parameters withheld from employee "owners".
Cons
Almost no new customers the last few years. Most troubling is a very high turnover over the past 18 months, including some of the most talented. Many key positions have been left open for more than a year. Also, several questionable terminations during that time (scapegoating by management?). Current management seems barely capable, scattered and struggling to figure out how to adapt to the emerging cloud delivery options and replacing old design/install/upgrade onprem based revenue model on ECM side of the business. Many solutions marketed as available do not exist even close to a deliverable form and others don't have the engineers on board to keep them updated. New employee orientation is non-existent (sink or swim) and current culture not very welcoming to new employees. The 401k match is optionally funded annually (as is the ESOP) so no certainty on retirement contributions.
