Pros
Flexibility in jobs and ability to transfer within the university. Ability to take classes and good opportunities for advancement.
Cons
Used to be best place in the area to work. Strong benefits and good raises - not so much with the current economic situation and the new president whose salary and retirement benefits are not affected. Job security isn't a given anymore and we've gone 2 years without raises.
