The organization is deeply mission-driven and many of the teachers and staff are genuinely committed to serving students. The school environment allows for creativity, flexibility, and relationship-building with students, which can be very rewarding. For individuals who enjoy autonomy and are comfortable wearing many hats, there are opportunities to grow skills quickly.
Cons
Systems, processes, and staffing structures are often unclear, which can make day-to-day operations feel reactive rather than strategic. Leadership expectations are high, but support, alignment, and decision-making authority do not always match those expectations. Communication and follow-through across teams can be inconsistent.
