Pros

- There's a bar in the office. Pretty cool. - Sometimes there are fun events, but that's also been unpredictable with covid and not as much lately - Free lunch sometimes too

Cons

- Privately owned = No accountability. The CEO and COO are also the co-founders (and husband and wife.) Therefore, they answer to no one. Remember that. - It’s political. Want a promotion? Great! Now work OT all year (yes, even though you’re salaried), don’t use all your PTO (they’ll “say” you’re required to take at least 80 hours…), and get the endorsement of every single leader in the organization – Then maybe they’ll consider promoting you. - Leadership uses fear tactics to gain buy in. And because many entry-level and junior employees don’t know that those behaviors aren’t normal in the workplace, it works. (But again, you can’t fix a problem that begins at the top… because they won’t take accountability) - I'll list off a few more: Being staff aug'd on unfavorable projects for longggg times (it’s how you “earn your stripes”), no work life balance, minimal (and performative at that) diversity and inclusion, pay and benefits are less favorable than at a large co., etc. But, if you want to work at a toxic firm and reallllly need a job, they’re handing them out left and right. And if that’s the case, keep the above in mind and definitely negotiate on salary.

Pros

Good benefits and met some fantastic colleagues (although turnover is high so a lot of the good ones left). Could be decent first step for those looking to break into healthcare on the business side, depending on which projects you are on.

Cons

Unprofessional, highly demanding for a salary which did not correspond, lack of transparency from leadership is a common sentiment. They have employee feedback surveys but subjects they choose to highlight will include “lack of leadership at cultural events” rather than basics like salary transparency per role. Highly volatile in terms of workload demand. Significant issues with scope creep and project managers willing to keep projects going no matter what. Very high turnover either by choice or through quiet layoffs, makes it difficult to feel secure in your role at this firm regardless of effort put in.
