Pros
I've been at Prominence for a while now, and it's one of the best companies I've had a chance to work for. They have a mission I believe in - help healthcare organizations do more with their data to make healthcare smarter - and core values I appreciate - do great work & move mountains.
I get to work with the smartest people I've ever worked with before (this is by far the biggest pro).
The work is challenging as we're not solving problems that really have a script. But, I like this. It's not for everyone, but if you want to be continually challenged, and feel like doing work that makes a difference (our work literally leads to saved lives sometimes) you get that here.
If you do great work and are a team player, you will see career progression. I've been fortunate to be able to learn so many different skills and have been rewarded for it along the way with more responsibility and growth multiple times.
The work life balance is good, I get to work from home 100% without travel, and I really do think the leadership and management team care about their people and their customers. I don't feel like they take me or my team for granted.
Cons
I really don't have many. Maybe appropriate expectation setting:
This is a remote company - you have to be disciplined, document well, communicate well.
The work is really technical and it's hard work. You'll be pushed to consistently learn new technologies and to find new ways to solve problems. You'll be expected to be an excellent problem solver at Prominence.
We are very customer centric. We work to establish and maintain long standing, strategic partnerships with some of the nation's leading health systems.
