Pros
- This is the only job that I've had where I can manage my work and I can implement pretty much all of my ideas. My ideas were never valued in previous jobs. - It's a small company that will go far so its current staff, or at least the capable ones, have some real opportunity. - Sales (where I work) gives a 10% commission so some months I can take several grand home, just in commission. - I NEVER got refused any request I've ever had (Time off, references, even advance on salary) - I never got official training but the MD pretty much sat with me the whole time until i learned the job (about a month) and to this day I was never refused help with any issue.
Cons
- Used to gives jobs too easily!! It's a small organization so there's nothing more depressing than seeing lazy or undeserving coworkers trying to do as little as possible, only to then witness their inevitable departure. One of them was sacked for gross misconduct just last week and I can see he's been busy leaving reviews here. Depressing. - Needs more formal structure, the business model is based WAY too much on the individual abilities. - MD is super lovely but he is A LITTLE TOO HELPFUL and actually I work better when he's away. He means well but sometimes it's too much pressure.
