Pros
PTO program is great. Office culture where I am is superb. We all support one another, and share in successes/failures. I love the team I'm a part of. My direct manager, and other managers I interact with, have been fantastic. My hard work and dedication has been noticed, appreciated, and rewarded. Opportunity to work with all kinds of tech is cool. Fast paced, almost frenetic work environment, which I enjoy. You never know exactly what each day will look like. Pay is competitive. Bonus structure for engineers is easy to understand, and generally pretty easy to hit your numbers if you're good at what you do. Work from home, onsite, while traveling, it's very flexible.
Cons
Health insurance is expensive, and the deductible is VERY steep. The 401k match is, quite literally, the worst I've ever seen. I don't understand why they refuse to fix this. Most of my remaining cons have to do with C-level management decisions. Presidio has lost a lot of great people in the past 2 years to competitors. Upper management seems incapable of or unwilling to find out why and fix. The acquisition strategy means every region feels a bit different. Lots of places have great culture, others not so much (or so it seems). We used to have a cell phone reimbursement, but they took it away during COVID lockdowns in 2020 for cost savings and never brought it back. Frankly, it's ridiculous. Pay raise schedule was suddenly changed to an 18 month cycle in 2020, instead of every 12 months. Paternity/maternity leave program is bad and outdated. You will get burned out if you have trouble saying no.
