Pros

It's impossible to overstate how awesome PN is. I've been here since nearly the beginning and have watched the company grow and change over the years. It's a great example of a) how well Holacracy can work; b) a purely remote-work company being successful; c) how hiring smart, passionate, kind people lets you build an awesome team; d) investing in personal and professional development leads to growth; e) doing important work that helps people.

Cons

It's very hard to come up with any cons. Like many companies, there can be challenges with communication, but PN is so open to growth and change that most problems don't last very long once they're identified.

Pros

Even though I was just a contractor, everyone I came into contact with at PN made me feel like I was part of the team. There are a lot of companies that claim to look out for their employees and act like a "family," but PN is one of the only companies I've worked at where that felt like it was actually true. And you really feel like you're making a difference, no matter how simple or mundane the task at hand.

Cons

Like many companies, I think PN's eyes are sometimes bigger than its stomach—they had so many ideas for new projects to move the company forward, but often moved slower than they thought they would. That meant that projects didn't always start on the expected date (some didn't start at all), and it wouldn't hurt for them to inject a dose of realism into their scheduling (or find a way to get things moving a bit faster).
