Pros
- Small company, coworkers often treated like family - Profit sharing - Opportunity to share your ideas to improve the company during annual retreat - Nice seating, large desks, decent computers, decent facility, nice walking paths around the complex to use over lunch. - Pet friendly - Owner is an aggressive business woman on the surface and can come off as brash and cold, but is actually a really caring person underneath. You just have to get to know her.
Cons
- This is a family company, and I think that is an important thing to understand. As a family company, there will be family bickering that you will have to listen to. - Management is generally not open to suggestions or ideas outside of the annual retreat. They have a very established process for everything and you are expected to adhere to it diligently. - There is a tendency to overload employees with tasks and assignments which for some can cause anxiety and stress. Basically, being a small business it you will wear many hats (and learn a lot). I wore 3 at the same time. - Not much in the way of a work culture - it is what you make it.
