Pros
At this company you are paid by the hour. After dealing with other companies that play games with your pay (cents per mile, stop time, retention time, etc), I found this to be very refreshing. They pay you for ALL of your driving and on duty time. For the 9 months I worked for this company, I averaged between 60 and 65 hours a week. I have stepped away from this employer, for now, for personal reasons. Most of my experience is in short haul; but if I find myself in a position to do OTR again, I will definitely be asking for my job back! I also liked how they did not hassle you unduly over safety. There is not a camera staring at you and recording you. That is not to say they don't care about safety, but they trust you, the professional driver, to do your job. You also are not micromanaged. They trust you to manage your time and report back to them if there's an issue. This is a small company that is trying to grow the logistics side of their operations. There are growing pains, sure, but they are minor, in my opinion. And more importantly, they are always improving.
