Pros
Very flexible, good compensation, large degrees of design freedom once you are established. Given the opportunity to work on cutting edge components, modules, systems from DC to 30 GHz.
Cons
Long time to execute on every aspect of a project. Lack of internal organization regarding program management, product development and knowledge transfer. Lack of technical experience in management. There is a cultural divide between the departments and lack of accountability for poor performance. Employee benefits, taxes, health care enrollments are burdensome. The CI initiatives and culture need to be completely overturned.
