Pros

Literally nothing as even the people who you work with who are lovely, are put into such unsafe situations and treated so badly it just breaks you.

Cons

There is zero concern for staff welfare, google PointA Glasgow to read about an serious assault that happened to a member of staff at the hotel after it was raised with head office that we needed security and we were refused. You will be asked to work, beyond your contracted hours for no extra money and not allowed to refuse as it states in your contract you must be available at all times (even when on a pre-approved holiday), it also states if you are contracted (not hourly pay) the company will never provide any overtime worked and for company policy you are unable to take days in lieu. I have worked for numerous hotel chains in my life and PointA has been by FAR the worse company I have ever worked for.

Pros

I started my Point a journey in March 2025, having worked for many hotel groups throughout my career my expectations were not overly high in regards to onboarding. I could not have been more wrong, the onboarding experience was positive from the moment I started. I was given a three week programme were I was introduced to everyone that I would need when I eventually started in the hotel I would be based. This gave me the grounds to start positively and confidently and most importantly the tools to succeed. Point a hotels represent positivity and everyone I have met so far has been a ray of sunshine which tells me everything I need to know about my decision to start this next chapter of my career.

Cons

No cons - all positive. This company is all about their people which in turn leads to a better guest experience.
