Pros
Minimal Entry level experience. Likes to hire veterans. Usually full 40 hour weeks with frequent opportunities for paid overtime.
Cons
Probable on-call time at least several days a week. Front facing toward customer, recommended high interpersonal skills. Upper Management and other departments do not really respect field service insights. If your not at one of the major customer sites you may have problems getting support or parts without being very vocal. Some processes are overkill. Some processes make no sense.
