Pros

There are some truly exceptional people working at this company. Unfortunately, none of them are in management positions. I've made some lifelong friends while working here. Nothing builds camaraderie like being abused and belittled for 40 hours a week.

Cons

I can not in good conscious recommend that anyone even patronize this company, let alone work for them. Working at Planet Networks has been a masterclass in squandering a promising start. The C-suite has driven the company directly into the ground chasing unsustainable growth. They gambled, and they lost. Only sycophants and megalomaniacs can succeed at Planet Networks, and even then you're not safe from the weekly layoffs. While you're here, you might as well read the Glassdoor reviews for Optimum. They'll own Planet within 6 months.

Pros

Planet Networks offers competitive pay and solid benefits, especially for a locally operated business. The company has a clear desire to uphold a high standard in its services, which creates a sense of pride in the work. Being part of a local team also brought a tight-knit feel and direct impact on the community, which was rewarding.

Cons

Unfortunately, internal management often lacked direction and consistency. There was little to no departmental leadership, and the broader company vision was rarely communicated in a way that motivated or aligned the team. Financial instability was a concern during my time, including delayed payroll processing on more than one occasion. There were also no clear paths for growth or advancement, which made it difficult to see a long-term future within the organization.
