Pros
Relaxed working hours. Most people arrive at 10:30 and leave around 4:30/5. The team is generally very nice and pleasant to work with. For the most part, it’s good vibes at the office and there are also two adorable resident cats. The brand itself has a lot of untapped potential. Free bagels and croissants on Mondays. Espresso machine in the office works well. Parking on-site. Office is right off the highway and easy to get to.
Cons
In my experience, the benefits package was limited, consisting of just health insurance. Leadership has also been known to reduce hours and wages/salaries. So while you might sign with a certain compensation package, this may be subject to change depending on how the company is doing. The vacation policy was also stringent in my opinion. The usual was 5 days for hourly employees and 10 days for salaried employees. While this seems more or less standard, many holidays are not covered as a company closure. When I worked there, there was no official company holiday calendar, so employees were often confused as to what days were off and would even come in and work not knowing it was a holiday. The company operates very much like a very early-stage start-up. I also felt that there were serious challenges with leadership's approach to risk and change. While the office's proximity to the highway is convenient, some may find the surrounding neighborhood less desirable. I would personally choose to not work here again if I’d had a better idea of how this company operates and treats their employees. If you’re interviewing here, my recommendation is to proceed with caution.
