Employees are not valued - Producer Ping Pong Productions Employee Review

Pros

Consistent work if you're willing to suffer.

Cons

Very very low pay for the work load. Upper management does not value who they hire for shows and they treat everyone as if they are replaceable. In the TV industry being replaceable is always a reality but they take it to a new extreme of disrespecting people who have worked hard for them for years.

Pros

- Great teams - Interesting projects and assignments - Friendly office culture and field team - Opportunity to travel

Cons

- Your weekly rate is pro rated for working less than 5 days (several government holidays are not paid) However, you are not paid overtime if working week is longer than five days, or prorated as a normal work day. - Some of the responsibilities are shared across departments which can lead to some very frustrating "I didn't know that was my job" conversations. It's so truncated that you end up doing the jobs of 3 people but this is not the end of the world.

Pros

There were "pros" that worked there but they will never return.

Cons

One of the owners walked around the office without making any eye contact in the halls. Never a hello or a smile. That alone doesn't make this place terrible. It's the fact that the only interface he had with the staff was negative. How he sells shows is head-spinning. Maybe he's only a nice guy to network executives. Additionally, the office had unfinished concrete walls and glass doors everywhere. He can a TV company not have sound proofing, at least on a couple of opposite walls in each room/bay? He made the workers under him tense and angry! Run away from this place.
