I was paid 120 per hour when I started. And I am a fully qualified chef before getting 145 per hour.
They think this is a good salary for making you do double the work and take responsibilities that are not part of the pay or job description. As well as carrying the whole kitchen.
Discussing salary with colleagues is not allowed because they don't want you to know that you are being cheated because the same person is doing less work for the same pay. While those that are at the top position are being paid 200 per hour.
