Forming a "new task force" team from already limited human resources while expecting product teams to keep delivering new work and features and questioning why it is taking so long! Several positions were vacated with no desire to refill.
From the development perspective, the head of engineering is powerless over the head of products, which means technical debts build up and gain interest without any sight of reducing them.
There is a strong sense of favouritism and nepotism among a few people, often resulting in ignoring others with concerns about better processes or improvements. Some have since left the company because it no longer brings enthusiasm to work there.
