If working only 40 hours a week is important to you, this is the place. People arrive at 8 am and leave at 5 pm every day, without fail. There is little urgency, so the stress level is pretty low.
Cons
Managed by 5 Petz family members. Management is very old-school in their management style, as in 1950s. The work environment is extremely political: If you want to succeed, you have to play games with senior management. Back-stabbing is everywhere. People are generally very bitter about working here, and frequently vent this when management is not around. When they are around, everybody acts as though they love the place. One HR rep proposed that the company do an employee survey and management rebuffed this idea as "why would we care what employees thought of our company."
