Don't waste your time - Assistant Manager Pets Corner Employee Review

They sell themselves as an 'Ethical pet shop' they're not, selling small cages, encouraging staff to breed animals to sell, over priced products, cashing up in your own time, lack of appreciation. Owner is arrogant, does random store walk around and looks down at staff barley having time to even look at them. Loads of staff having affairs with each other (regional managers with lower staff) and getting promoted. No fixed rota so your manager will often make you work 10 days in a row, low pay. When I worked there I would have to use my own car for taking the money to the bank, I'd have to go by myself, I never got petrol back, they didn't check if staff had correct insurance.
