Pros
Gratified to have been part of Peraton's "genesis" days, post-Harris divestiture. Me, along with my stellar team, were knee-deep in the building of Peraton's world-class "bleeding edge" IT offerings. It was a Thrilling RIDE - one I will never forget and always be proud to have been a part of! As a new "start-up", the org chart was flatter; which provided unparalleled access to Senior + C-Suite Management. Their expertise was broad, deep and highly seasoned. Those are the minds you want to learn from and rarely work beside.
Cons
Peraton is privately-owned by an investment company, which meant "true" corporate expansion plans & financials were always communicated with a level of "opacity" that never cleared. Recent acquisition news brings clarity to those early years. The "genesis" phase of Peraton meant there was A LOT of hard work for the HQ employees; but no real career path or bonuses for individual contributors.
