Competitive salary (if you can survive long enough to keep it). Some talented colleagues, though many are either leaving or being forced out.

Cons

Toxic & Political Culture: The company prioritizes internal politics over actual performance. If you’re not part of the right clique, your job is at risk, regardless of your contributions. PIP as a Weapon: Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) are not used to help employees improve but rather as a tool to push people out. The process is arbitrary, goals are vague, and expectations shift without warning. Management by Fear: If you stand up for yourself or challenge questionable decisions, you will be targeted. HR offers no real support and acts as an extension of management rather than an advocate for employees. Inconsistent Standards: Some employees get away with poor performance because they are favored, while others are unfairly singled out for “performance issues” despite delivering solid work. Lack of Transparency: Employees are often left in the dark about key decisions. Firings and forced resignations happen suddenly, with little explanation. High Turnover: Many skilled employees either quit out of frustration or are forced out, especially after leadership changes.

Pros

The coffee machine was great… when it was working.

Cons

The work environment can become extremely stressful due to a lack of support poor communication and unrealistic expectations. Employees are regularly asked to do more without corresponding recognition or compensation. The culture is affected by negativity and gossip which makes it difficult to maintain a healthy and productive workplace. Certain behaviours and internal dynamics negatively impacted the overall team atmosphere.

Unrealistic expectations, poor work-life balance, and a very cliquey culture. The ‘Pepperstone way’ feels cult-like. Extremely disorganised and lacks of clear strategy
