Pros
- It’s so nice to see that management has taken such an interest in Glassdoor that they’ve decided to saturate it with fake positive reviews. Some advice – if you’re going to pose as us “normal” employees to inflate your rating, try to not make it so painfully obvious. Just read the recent 4 & 5 star reviews from the last 6 months or so and you’ll see exactly what I mean. Seems more like management talking points than authentic feedback from ordinary employees. The timing of these bursts of fake reviews also strangely coincide with when the new execs joined the company. People see through this. No one’s fooled and you’ve been called out on this by several people now. Stop embarrassing yourselves. - Some of the best co-workers I've ever had the privilege of working with. - Our clients and industries we serve make the work fulfilling. It's only because of them that so many people decide to stay working at this company.
Cons
- Lots of change has happened at PeopleAdmin in such a short amount of time. Not all for the good either. CEO is detached because he doesn’t seem to care that so many people are unhappy and are leaving. He distorts reality by saying people are just unhappy because they don’t like change. What a tone deaf misdiagnosis of the real problem. - CEO also shamelessly tries to discourage people from voicing their unhappy opinions on Glassdoor. He’s openly told us during meetings that if we’re unhappy we should go directly to him instead of anonymously expressing ourselves on social media. Problem with this is that he’s never genuinely built that kind of trust with us so that we feel comfortable going to him. He just expects trust even though he’s done a lot to betray trust. People who’ve gone directly to the CEO before about their concerns have either been let go shortly thereafter or callously told to leave if they’re so unhappy. What kind of bunk open door policy is that? It’s heartless and it breeds distrust. - Hands down the worst thing here is the culture of fear the new CEO has instilled. At meetings he comes off so charismatic and caring. Everyone sees through his act. When he’s not on stage his true colors come out. He’s irritable and has a reputation around the office for losing his cool – he lashes out and screams and swears at people. Never been on the receiving end of his wrath but I’ve personally witnessed it. Our walls are paper thin so people can overhear when he yells. But it’s not like he’s even tried to hide his temper. He’s even exploded in the wide open within earshot of everyone. Word spreads fast when your CEO is a loose cannon. You lose all respect and credibility as a CEO when you constantly blow up. Some of the other execs also have a bit of a short fuse, but nothing compared to the CEO. True leaders have control over their emotions and know how to treat people.
