Pros

First and foremost, the people. People really seem to care about each other. People check in on me and listen when I'm having a bad day. Everyone loves to make each other smile - we have a great pun and joke culture here. As an employee straight out of college, I appreciate that management takes the time to give me advice and teach me things that I haven't had a chance to learn yet, instead of taking advantage of the lack of knowledge to, for example, get me to work on the weekend when I didn't need to or something. Life outside of work is not just talked about - everyone steps in to try to make it possible for each other. The amount of times I've seen someone on vacation told to "get off slack and go be with your family!" is awesome. Even when the person on vacation is upper management/incredibly knowledgeable, everyone steps in to try to make their vacation relaxing. On the engineering side, this shows up when someone has to stay up late due to a difficult on-call - others step in so that the original on-call person can sleep and rest. And since everyone is doing this kind of stuff for each other when necessary, life outside of work really becomes a reality for everyone. I also really like the work I'm doing. I get to work on performance problems in the backend of the product a lot, and I work with incredibly smart people. I've only been here a few months and I've had a ton of opportunities to learn from my teammates. And they've all been very patient with me as I get up to speed.

Cons

No 401k matching Company occasionally takes political stance without consulting opinion of employees.

Pros

Pendo has been one of the most career-accelerating places I've worked. What sets it apart isn't just the role itself, it's the culture of growth that runs through the organization. There are real pathways to advance within the company, and leadership genuinely champions internal mobility rather than just hiring from outside. What's really distinguished my time here is Pendo's embrace of AI tools. The company doesn't actively encourages employees experimenting with new technology, rather than just tolerating it. I've been given the space and support to integrate AI into my day-to-day work in ways that have meaningfully elevated my output and sharpened my skill set. As a result, I feel like I'm building capabilities that are genuinely ahead of the curve. I'm not scrambling to catch up to where the industry is heading, but already operating there. The combination of a company that invests in your internal career trajectory and equips you with next-generation skills is rare. Pendo has given me both.

Cons

Like any fast-moving tech company, things can change quickly and priorities can shift. It helps to be comfortable with ambiguity and to advocate for yourself.

Pros

Talented coworkers. Benefits aren't terrible.

Cons

Executive leadership significantly damaged employee morale through the CE transition. Feedback from experienced employees was repeatedly solicited but rarely reflected in decision-making, creating a perception that outcomes had already been decided. The transition expanded responsibilities, reduced role clarity, and introduced new tools and processes before they were fully ready. What was once a strong culture of collaboration and employee input shifted toward a top-down approach that left many employees feeling unheard. Combined with inadequate enablement, lack of tactical training, and increasing expectations, this contributed to declining trust in leadership and the loss of experienced talent. Leadership repeatedly emphasized that employees needed to embrace the new direction, but there was little willingness to meaningfully incorporate feedback from those doing the work every day. The message that's been received is "get on board or move on." Unsurprisingly, many talented and experienced employees have left. Given the continued decline in morale and trust, it is difficult to see that trend reversing anytime soon. Raise the hiring bar for enterprise sales talent. Too many hires have not demonstrated the level of competency required for the role. Strong technical teams can only compensate for weak sales execution for so long.
