Upper management and the culture they have built. The company mission statement “To improve the lives of those we serve” is not a high priority for the management team. They have created a toxic workplace where their individual financial gain is more important than the wellbeing of their employees. They want to preach that this is a family oriented business and that each employee is important, when in actuality they view each employee as expendable. No matter your tenure or position, there is constant disrespect and negative feedback. A more fitting mission statement would be “Do more with less, so the 1% can profit more.”
