Pros
Nice co-workers to trauma bond with
Cons
I have never experienced such a stark difference between what was presented during the interview process and the reality of working there.
The organization promotes a culture of support, positivity, and employee well-being, but my experience was the opposite. Basic onboarding was virtually nonexistent. I had to follow up myself regarding HR paperwork, received no meaningful orientation, and months into my employment was still missing basic information that should have been provided on day one.
Communication was consistently poor, and there appeared to be one set of expectations for employees and another for management. Employees who established reasonable boundaries or voiced concerns risked being labeled as difficult rather than being heard.
What I found most disappointing was the culture itself. Maintaining the appearance of positivity seemed more important than addressing legitimate concerns. Employees were expected to be endlessly flexible, and accommodating, regardless of how they were being treated in return. There appeared to be a strong expectation that employees communicate with positivity and professionalism, while some members of management did not hold themselves to the same standard.
If you are looking for a workplace where open communication, mutual respect, and healthy professional boundaries are genuinely valued, this may not be the environment you expect it to be.
