Pros

Good ethos around environment and charity; People are nice to each other, especially within teams; Management have the intent to be open and accountable to employees; Compensation and environment are good; Good ideas are heard; There is a focus on learning, development, and mentorship through monthly one-to-ones and other activities; Never have to take work home.

Cons

There is organisational waste and managers mis-matched to roles; Despite the open ethos, staff don't always feel free to take issues up to higher management; Historically there's siloing between departments which is diminishing but difficult to overcome; General lack of courage when it comes to making process changes; Annual pep-talks are largely ineffective at culture change, serving instead to increase cynicism.

Pros

Remote working was available at all times.

Cons

Since the company was acquired by Markerstudy, the culture has noticeably declined. Leadership seems disconnected from the well-being of staff, with redundancies being handed out with little care or compassion. Shockingly, a celebratory company-wide meeting was held the very next day, praising business performance while ignoring the emotional toll on employees. During my time at the company, I experienced what I believe to be bullying and mistreatment, and senior managers offered no support; instead, blame was often pushed back rather than issues being resolved. I also witnessed aspects of discrimination from colleagues, which made the environment feel uncomfortable and unsafe. Concerns raised were not addressed and instead led to further isolation. The overall culture lacked psychological safety, accountability, and basic human respect. I left feeling anxious, undermined, and completely undervalued. This is not a company I would recommend to anyone who values dignity, fairness, and genuine leadership.
