The product is matured to a level where we’ve got all the pieces for HCM and the job is to refine them. It’s less exciting than the early days when we were fighting to get feature parity and there was greater upside for employees: promotions, stock awards, bonus attainment.
The opp to stand out or pitch in to the future of the company is less. It used to be very compelling. Several years ago I felt very consulted about decisions. I had the opp to be involved in policy, process by putting my hand up. Since we’ve gotten so big decisions are made much more unilaterally, top down. EMs are left with “do your job” only. The most recent example is moving me to unlimited PTO. That came out of nowhere.
